Professional tips for CLEANING and MAINTAINING your fashion jewelry

To care for costume jewelry, nothing could be simpler: just wipe it with a soft cloth from time to time.

People often think they are allergic to costume earrings, but sometimes it's just a reaction to dirt. The post still passes through the earlobe, and you don't know who handled the pair of earrings; from manufacturing to display for sale, the product will have been touched by several hands and also collected dust during storage. It is highly recommended to disinfect them before first use (with a little alcohol on a soft cloth), or even just clean them with vinegar.

Would you apply an open cream that has collected dust for days or even weeks directly to your skin? If so, it's normal for pimples to appear.

It's the same for jewelry and clothing; it's always advisable to clean them before first use.

The main problem with costume jewelry is often oxidation (metal color turning green or black depending on the type of metal).

To remedy this, soak your jewelry in lukewarm water with a little white vinegar or lemon juice and gently rub with a soft-bristled toothbrush. If necessary, add a little baking soda, rinse with clear water, and let it dry on a dry cloth or paper towel. Remember to plug your sink to prevent your ring, a crystal, or any part of your jewelry from ending up in the plumbing.

Never rub with a paper towel; a piece of the towel could get stuck in the jewelry.

Avoid putting perfume on it or going into seawater or a swimming pool with it to prevent corrosive effects.

Most Belle Miss necklaces have stainless steel chains, which prevents the chain from changing color.

You can now wear your jewelry with complete peace of mind.
